Please post replies with your ideas / preferences for social events. I’d really like to see what people would like to do. Remember the aim is to build relationships with other church members, potentially invite non-Christian friends, and importantly, enjoy what God has given us.
If an idea sounds good, I might try to run with it, of course if you’d like to step forward to get things happening, then that is even better.

Have you thought about barefoot bowls? There is a new bowls club at Indooroopilly. http://www.indooroopillybowlsclub.com/
They do barefoot bowls sessions (1½ hr sessions) on Fridays – 4.30pm until 6.00pm.
Then we could have dinner at the Bistro after (menu is on the website).
I think that Jindalee bowls club also does some barefoot bowling if you want something a little closer to church.

Not sure if there are any other bowls clubs in Mt Ommaney or Sinnamon Park where there is barefoot bowls.
What about “Riverfire” with fireworks and great music at south bank?

Since the lovely Karissa has gone globe trooping, I’ve really missed dinners of eight. Are there any plans for more?
The barefoot bowls is a good idea. I also liked the rock climbing Jeff – we should do this again in a month or so.

Before we tackle any of the above suggestions, lets have a church picnic while the weather’s still nice.
So….
When: Sunday lunch time, 23 May.
Where: TBA, but basically a park close to the church at Mt Ommaney.
What: BYO food/BBQ’s. We’ll have a few games organised for the various age groups.

Please don’t think that the ideas have been ignored….they haven’t….they just haven’t happened yet:) Keep the ideas coming.
